Ultimate Voyage: Indonesia, the Whitsundays & Tasmania

This Ultimate Voyage traces a long, thoughtful arc from Australia’s tropical north to its southern island state, travelling by way of some of the most biodiverse waters and distinctive coastlines in the region. From Darwin you sail to Indonesia’s Kai Islands and into the Coral Triangle, where Triton Bay, Raja Ampat and Cenderawasih Bay are known for clear seas, intricate coral gardens and rich marine life. Papua New Guinea then introduces volcanic backdrops, “tropical fjords” and village life along rarely visited shores. Turning south, the Queensland coast offers the Great Barrier Reef, sand islands such as World Heritage-listed K’gari (Fraser Island) and an easygoing string of bays and harbour towns. A final Tasmanian chapter brings Bass Strait islands, the remote inlets of the west and the maritime heritage of Hobart into view, rounding out a genuinely comprehensive journey.
