Embark in Reykjavík and follow Iceland’s ragged western edge, calling at quiet Westfjords communities and small harbours framed by steep mountains and waterfalls. On this Expedition Voyage venture north to cross the Arctic Circle at tiny Grimsey and call at lesser-known anchorages such as Sauðárkrókur and Grundarfjörður, where fishing traditions, bird cliffs, and wide, glacial valleys shape daily life. From here, turn towards East Greenland, where isolated settlements, vast national parks and deep fjord systems reveal grand Arctic landscapes of glaciers, sea ice and towering rock walls. Continue south and west along Greenland’s coast, sailing celebrated passages and visiting historic harbours, before concluding among the icebergs and Inuit heritage of Disko Bay and Ilulissat, and finally the cultured charm of Copenhagen.
